Driftwood Sculptures for Sale in NYC
My name is Phyllis Rosser and I have been creating wood sculpture for more than 30 years. My journey as a driftwood artist began many years ago when I was attracted to washed up wood as I walked the beaches of the Jersey Shore. I saved my favorites until one day I started nailing pieces together and assembling them to create wall-hung driftwood sculptures. To maintain the character and integrity of the wood, I never cut, shape, or trim any of the pieces that I use. I leave them exactly as I find them and combine the shapes to create sculptures with dynamic and fluid energy.
I spend a lot of time searching for the
ideal driftwood to use. I find the most beautiful pieces on the banks of the
Connecticut River in Bellows Falls, Vermont. The river is a rich source and
provides a variety of sizes, colors and shapes. I weave these pieces together to
construct inspiring driftwood sculptures ranging from 12 inches to 8 feet in
length. Whether you want to add beautiful and unique wall art to your home,
office or gallery, each of my driftwood sculptures and paintings for sale in NYC
has a commanding presence that invites attention as well as contemplation.
Paintings for Sale in NYC
I also enjoy painting and have a large number of paintings available for sale
as full-sized archival pigment prints. I do not sell the original paintings.
Most of the paintings exhibit my ecstatic relationship to nature. I use acrylic
on canvas and offer close-up views of wild irises, anemones, amaryllis, and much
more. Take a look at my gallery of paintings for sale and imagine all of the
possibilities for your home, office space or art gallery.
